Second Attempt
During my lunch hour, I made another attempt for a co-worker. So, here's a penguin with a top hat. I hadn't glued the parts together yet, so they're just lying on my desk and aren't in quite the right places. And, those crazy eyes are still unsettling. I think I'm still in the C range... if even that. But, I'm learning.

Wow, Strem - You definitely get the prize for variety of handcrafts and interests! You are amazing. Sometime when you're at NL PBC ask me to show you my wedding invitation quilling that a friend made for us. It is beautifully done, many tiny little flowers. It's practically an antique now! :-)
I would LOVE to see your invitation, and I can't wait to see some of the creations Liz makes. Maybe someday, I'll make something classy like decorations for wedding invitations. Various friends have them, and they can be so beautiful! For now, I'm having a good time with these funny animals, and they are a little more forgiving for the inexperienced. Last night, I made a rooster.
Hey Strem!
I love the penguin especially the eyes! You amaze me with all the crafty stuff you can do. I'm lucky if I can draw stick people :-)
Laur
I feel silly to ask, but what is quilling, and how does one go about it?
And p.s., the animals look cute to me!
Owl, thanks for stopping by. If you click on the quilling link within the "First Attempt" post below, you will receive wikipedia's explanation. However, I hope to make another post on it this week... to show some of the basics.
Thanks for liking the animals. I've made many this week, so I am happy that my technique is getting better!
So cute!
