Once there was a little red barn who felt like he didn't belong.
Here is an ever-so-subtle arrow that points to the barn in the very very back of my yard in this sole picture I have of it. Jeff and Jeff's Dad (Pop) are shown walking around right before I purchased the property.
He didn't match his neighboring garage... or the house... or even the dying grass that surrounded him.
His owner had high hopes for the barn - hoping that some day he would look like he belonged in his special spot. But, time got away from her, and there he sat - 4 years later - in his same old bright red covering.
So, some wonderful, wonderful friends decided to surprise the barn and the owner just shortly after her birthday. Little did she know, while she was typing away at work, friends were gathering at her home to provide a brand new pale yellow coat to the special little building. And, at the end of the day, the barn looked great. And, the owner was very touched.
Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU to Tracy, Jeff, Tressa, Abi, Rian, Lydia, Kayla and Chris for the very thoughtful gift. I've received many compliments from the neighbors, and I explained that I have some fantastic friends and couldn't take a bit of credit!

The pale yellow suits it very well! Isn't it amazing how fast time flies, and your project list just gets longer and longer...
You do have some great friends, Sister Michelle! =)
